In the summer of 1911, as a young man of just nineteen, Tolkien traveled with a group through the Swiss Alps. He was particularly impressed by the Lauterbrunnen Valley . The sheer cliffs, thundering waterfalls, and snow-capped peaks left an indelible impression on his mind—and later served as the inspiration for the peaceful Elven retreat you know today as Rivendell .

Our reliefs are custom-made for you. Production takes 2–8 business days , followed by shipping via DHL Standard (1–3 business days within Germany, longer internationally) . If you need your relief by a specific date, please contact us – we can often accelerate orders or ship via express.

Alternatively, we can also offer rectangular, one-piece reliefs . Just let us know your requirements – we'll check what's possible!
