The 3D Relief: Precision 3D printing from bio-based PLA – a sustainable plastic made from plants.

The base: Solid wood (26mm, oiled), optionally:

• Oak – from German forests, PEFC certified
• Swiss stone pine – from Austria, with characteristic scent, FSC & PEFC certified

Both types of wood come from sustainable forestry, crafted by a carpenter.

Deliberate design decision: Single-color Reliefs appear more high-quality and elegant – colored models quickly look cheap.

Technical reason: Colored 3D printing requires larger layer heights, which leads to less detail. Our monochrome Reliefs have finer structures and sharper contours.

Visual effect: The uniform color creates natural light and shadow plays that plastically highlight the topography. This effect is lost with colored models.

The color palette (white, light gray, anthracite, black) adapts to any interior and remains timeless.

In short: The preview shows only a rough approximation – the finished Relief is MUCH more detailed!

Technical: The live 3D preview uses freely available data (~30m resolution) for quick display. For production, we use high-resolution elevation data from the surveying offices with accuracies up to 0.5m.
