The trail climbs to the Breslauer Hütte (2844 m) at the foot of the Wildspitze, which the Breslau section opened in 1882 as a shelter hut with 15 beds. From the hut it goes over the Mitterkarjoch (3468 m) into the firn basin to the north and over the southwest ridge to the south summit. In normal conditions an easy high-alpine tour, but one that crosses glaciers and requires full glacier safety equipment.

Peaks around the Wildspitze

The Wildspitze (3768 m) is the highest mountain in North Tyrol and the Ötztal Alps, and after the Großglockner the second-highest in Austria. It has two summits, the rocky south summit with a summit cross and the firn-covered north summit, which has become lower through melting. Leander Klotz from Rofen, together with an unknown farmer, was the first to stand on the south summit in 1848. Also within the model are the Ötztaler Urkund (3554 m), 600 meters southeast of the Wildspitze, and the Wilde Mannle (3023 m) above Vent; at the edge of the model stands the Hintere Brochkogel (3623 m), separated from the Wildspitze by the Mitterkarjoch.

Relief Wildspitze Normal Route: Data

Track: the route as a colored, raised line on the relief

Data basis: LiDAR elevation data for the Ötztal Alps

Relief: 3D print in PLA, a bio-based polymer made mostly from renewable raw materials

Base: solid wood, oiled, choice of oak or Swiss stone pine

Sizes: 10x10, 15x15, 20x20, 25x25 and 28x28 cm

Version: Base to stand on a shelf or table, or Wall for hanging; price depends on size, version and wood

Manufacturing: handmade in Bavaria, alpen-werk logo engraved in the base, optional custom engraving

Wildspitze Normal Route as a gift

Fitting for high-alpine climbers after the Wildspitze south summit: a keepsake of Vent, the Breslauer Hütte and the route over the Mitterkarjoch.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0639/5946/6196/files/RT-01040_v6_Camera010_BASE_Eiche_Hellgrau.jpg?v=1786999868
