Through the Klamml, a steep rocky gully, it goes to the Gruttenhütte (1620 m) and on along the Gamsängersteig, the normal route with the 74 iron brackets on the Jägerwand (difficulty A\/B and I, one section C), to the summit of the Ellmauer Halt (2344 m). The trail passes just above the Rote-Rinn-Scharte. Johann Schlechter led the Munich student Karl Hofmann up from the Wochenbrunneralm via the Rote-Rinn-Scharte on June 29, 1869, the first known tourist on the summit. The descent is on the same trail to the Gruttenhütte and from there back to the Wochenbrunneralm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003ePeaks around the Ellmauer Halt\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Ellmauer Halt is the highest peak of the Wilder Kaiser and of the entire Kaisergebirge, and it belongs to the municipality of Ellmau. Directly below the summit stands the Babenstuberhütte.
